How to make salads for a diabetic?

Diet for diabetics is much more important than diet for models walking on the catwalk. In the case of models, the diet is designed to maintain such a degree of dystrophy that maximally brings the external forms closer to the forms of the clothes hanger, but at the same time retains the ability to move independently, without outside help.

In the case of the same with a diabetic diet – that’s life, is to maintain a safe level of blood sugar, and therefore nutrition is a very important aspect of treatment.    

Several recipes for preparing salads for diabetics, which will help get rid of the uniformity in food, without disturbing the sugar balance.  

Bean Salad

The beans are boiled until ready in salted water, then the water is drained, and the beans are slightly dried with a napkin. Onion is added onions, sliced ​​in rings, half rings or small pieces (optional), chopped hard-boiled egg, finely chopped pickled cucumber. The mixture is mixed.

You can add a drop of vegetable oil, but, in principle, such a salad without oil is quite moist. You can also add various greens to it, using it as ingredients (for example, finely chopped dill, parsley, and so on) or decorations (dill branches, parsley, lettuce leaves as a “litter” for the salad).

Beetroot salad

Boiled in salted water, the beets are rubbed on a coarse grater, garlic is added to it – either grated on a fine grater, or passed through a press. The amount of garlic to taste. You can also add salt to taste.  

Salad can be seasoned with a drop of vegetable oil, or you can do without dressing – it is wet enough so that oil is not required. You can also add finely chopped boiled chicken breast to beetroot salad. 

Salad can be decorated with finely chopped herbs or sprigs of dill and parsley. As an edible decoration, a half hard-boiled egg is also suitable.

Curd Salad

Curd salad is made from fat-free cottage cheese, to which garlic, grated on a fine grater or passed through a press, is added. Low-fat cottage cheese can be quite dry, and in this case, you can add a little low-fat kefir – as a salad dressing. Salt to taste.  

Also in this salad you can add finely chopped green onions and dill. The salad is decorated with sprigs of greenery; also, as a decoration, you can use a substrate of salad leaves.

Fruit salad

Fruit salad includes various fruits allowed by the diabetic: unsweetened apples, cherries, plums, kiwis, some strawberries, various berries (blueberries, currants and the like). As a “sauce” for such a salad, you can use low-fat kefir. It is not recommended to add bananas and grapes – these are products that are undesirable for diabetics.  

If you pass the fruit mixture with kefir through a blender, you will get a very pleasant drink, which not only a diabetic, but also any person especially concerned about excess weight problems will not refuse.

It should be noted that diabetes is of various types, in addition, patients have an unusual reaction to some products. For example, for some of the diabetics, beets are quite normal, but for some, this root crop is too sweet. Therefore, if in recipes you see ingredients that you have not previously consumed, it is best to consult your doctor.   

In addition, the ingredients are not something once and for all established, they can be replaced with other, more suitable for this person. So let me work on my imagination.
